Congratulations to all my hard working students who opted to sit a second examination in the academic year.

A big ‘Well Done’ to my Proficiency student’s who all received the Medal Award on the day (Results over 85%)
These went to Shauna Griffith (Proficiency in Public Speaking), Sophie Jones, Zoe Keane, Dearbhla Regan, Camerin O’Connor, Sarah Gallagher & Emma coleman.
Well done also to Robyn Kos (Grade 9) & Katie Hastings (Grade 12) who received ‘Medal’ awards on the day for the highest Grade Results.
I still can’t believe it’s my 25th Feis! Where have those years gone?
The Stillorgan Park was awash with wonderfully talented competitors from 4 – 19 years on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th March. I am always so impressed by the smooth running of this Festival & at the enthusiasm & energy of all involved. I was so immensely proud of all my students for participating & being courageous enough to stand up & do their personal best. All my students did themselves proud – you all are winners by just turning up in my eyes!
Take2 swept the boards again this year, congratulations to all the prize winners.
Here are the results from our students in Take2 Performing Arts School.
Winner Sophie Jones
Yeats Cup – ‘The Bernadette Garvey Memorial Cup’
Winner Conor Potts, 2nd Portia Healy O’Connor, 3rd Sarah Gallagher, H.C. Stephanie O’Connor.
This is a new competition & was in memory of Bernadette Garvey who sadly passed away only a few weeks ago. Bernadette was my drama teacher & I was deeply moved when my student won this Cup as it was presented by Bernadette’s daughters on the day.

This year exams were held again in the Stillorgan Park Hotel on Sunday 9th December.
We had three examiners Ms Byrne, Ms McHugh & Ms MacVeigh, and exams ran from 10.00am – 6.00pm. Congrats to all my students, I was really proud of each & every one of you. All I ever ask is that you do your personal best on the day, and you all did that in abundance!
Each examiner awards a medal to the student with the highest mark in their room on the day, in exceptional circumstances there may be two medals awarded….. and let’s face it our students are exceptional!

FEIS REPORT 2011This year the newly named ‘Speech & Drama Teachers of Ireland Feis’ (formally I.D.A.C.) was held in ‘The Stillorgan Park Hotel’ on the 9th & 10th April, a wonderful new location… given the proximity to us all was a real treat! Feis 2011 had great support from many new teachers both Dublin based & further afield…thus providing much more ‘competition’ especially for senior students. As I have said time & time again it is all about participation & doing your best on the day… I wonder how many of you parents out there would be able to stand up & perform for a room of strangers? Not all of you realise that in competitions such as Improvisation, Storytelling & Sight Reading you literally have only a few minutes to prepare, I personally commend & applaud all those of you who entered & made it look so effortless. My school ‘Take2 Performing Arts School’ was well represented and as always featured in the prizes across the board. We will need to build an extension for all the plaques, trophies & medals as in many competitions we won all the awards! Congratulations to you all.Pamela
