May 2018 Update! It has such a busy year in Take2 celebrating our 30th Anniversary! Here is some of the casting work our clients have done over the last months.
Alex Olariu is a star in the making, following on from his Vodafone TV Commercial he was cast as a lead in three short films including ‘Tom’s Garden’ & Hearts & Crafts’ & which filmed recently.
Mia O’Connor was also cast alongside Alex in Hearts & Crafts.
Trent Ronne was cast as lead ‘Calvin’ in Feature Film ’The Shadow’ currently in post-production. Take2 also had Fiona O’Riordan, Steve Kendall, Dean Quinn & Zack Shanahan cast in minor roles.
Elena O’Connor who has a long list of credits landed yet more roles this year, she was featured in the lovely Christmas ‘Tipperary Crystal’ TV Commercial. Elena also featured in short film ’Inner Child’.
Pearse Kearney landed more great roles this year playing ‘Tiny Tim’ in Feature Film ‘The Man who Invented Christmas. He then landed role in American TV Pilot ‘Emerus’, and recently filmed a TV Commercial for Home Store & More.
Anna Kearney, Pearse’s sister has also had a wonderful year landing the leading role of ‘Annie’ which played in the National Concert Hall over the Christmas Season. Anna also featured in a lovely Christmas Commercial for Home Store & More alongside Take2 student Charlie Geelon. What a talented family!
Charlie Geelon has had another great year following on from his Aldi Rugby Campaign. Charlie was cast in Feature Film ’Supervized’ playing Tom Berenger’s grandson, the film also starred Beau Bridges. Charlie also featured in recently filmed film ‘Mother’. Charlie is one to watch!
Drama student Oscar Lewins was cast in the Lead Role in short film ‘The First Dance’.
Sam Hardy who has a long list of credits was busy again this year. He played ‘Nico’ in the feature film ’Muse’ which premiered at the Audi Film Festival in March. Sam was also cast in feature film ‘Vita & Virgina’ playing Nigel, Vita’s son. He played ‘John ’in’ Dave Allen at Peace’ made by the BBC.
Dean Quinn was nominated for best supporting actor in the Underground Cinema Awards for his role in the Award Winning Short Film ’Lily’. Dean also landed a role in Feature film ’Dublin Old School’.
Meanwhile, feature film ’Birthmarked’ starring our own Megan O’Kelly alongside Toni Collette & Matthew Goode was released!
More exciting casting news for Take2 students! Congrats to our 8 students in our ‘Lights’ class who were all cast in a TV commercial for a phone company!

Congrats again to Charlie Geelon who is no stranger to filming with a string of credits to his name! Charlie has just been cast in a leading role in a lovely Christmas Commercial.
Well done to Elena O’Connor who is another rising star with a number of filming credits already behind her. Elena has landed a lead role in short film ‘Inner Child’ which will film later this month.

- Sam Hardy has been cast in feature film ‘Vita & Virginia’ & started filming the day after he finished filming on ‘Dave Allen at Peace’ alongside Aiden Gillen, Tommy Tiernan & Joanne Crawford.
- Anna Kearney has landed the role of ‘Annie’ which will run in The National Concert Hall from December 27th – January 3rd .. we are so proud of this little star! Anna’s brother Pearse Kearney who played Tiny Tim in ‘The Man who Invented Christmas’ features in the films trailer .. we can’t wait to see the film which is due for release in November. What a talented family!
- Trent Ronne has landed the leading role in feature film ‘The Shadow’ which is currently filming in Galway.
Three other Take2 clients are also cast in this film following their ‘Acting for Camera’ workshop in Take2.
It’s been another a great season for Take2 Casting.
Elena O’Connor recently filmed a TV Commercial which will launch later in the year, we can’t release details yet but watch this space! Elena is no stranger to the acting world with a string of short films & TV Commercials behind her.
Sam Hardy has landed yet another role playing John in a BBC Programme about Dave Allen which will air at Christmas 2017. Sam has a very bright future ahead of him!
Dean Quinn has been nominated for best supporting Actor at the Underground Cinema Awards for his role in Short Film ‘Lily’. Dean has also landed a role in feature film ‘Dublin Old School’.
Charlie Geelon has also been busy following his time as the Roving Reporter on the Aldi Rugby Panel Sam filmed on Feature ‘Supervized’ which starred Tom Berenger & Beau Bridges. Charlie played Berenger’s grandson.

Congrats to student Pearse Kearney who has landed the role of ‘Tiny Tim’ /’Henry Jr’ in feature film ‘The Man who Invented Christmas’ which is currently filming here in Ireland. Other cast members includes Dan Stevens, Christopher Plummer & Jonathan Pryce. It has been an exceptional year for Take2 Casting & what a way to finish!!
Take2 student Megan O’Kelly has just landed a leading role in feature film ‘Birthmarked’ playing the role of Maya.
Actors Toni Collette & Matthew Goode will play Megan’s parents in this black comedy.
Megan will be heading off to Montreal, Canada for two months to film! Megan is currently appearing in ‘Miss Mogul’ on RTE (Swipe TV) & previously worked on the Dreamhouse Project alongside Saoirse Ronan & directed by Jim Sheridan.
I see a great future ahead for this wonderfully talented young lady.

More great news for our budding star Sam Hardy, Sam is on our screens regularly in the Aldi TV Commercial (Play Rugby campaign) & soon to be on a radio commercial with his acting partner Paul O’Connell! Fresh from filming ‘The Widows Last’ Sa has just landed the role of Nico in feature film ‘Muse’ which is filming in Dublin & then he is jetting off to Barcelona to film! So proud of this little guy! Sam attends Drama classes in Take2 with Shauna Griffith .
There’s no sibling rivalry in Take2 as siblings are busy filming!Congrats to brother & sister Charlie & Ruby Geelon who have been busy filming again! Ruby has been invited back for a second season on ‘Swipe TV’ as their regular book reviewer, Ruby was also invited to do a voice over for the new TV Series ‘The Makers’ directed by Julian Hills.Meanwhile Charlie who recently filmed a Kerrygold TV Commercial landed another role as the lead in short film ‘The Loneliest Boy in the World’ alongside sisters Elena & Mia O’connor. Elena is no stranger to filming with a string of previous films, TV commercials etc behind her!John Nolan was cast in a ‘Kerrygold’ TV Commercial which filmed last month & we look forward to seeing it on our screens soon!Isolt McCaffrey who filmed ‘St’Patrick’s Day’ last year has been cast in Feature film ‘The Third Wave’; cast include Sam Keeley, Ellen Page & Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. Isolt pictured at the Tribeca Film Festival alongside Ruth Bradley & Gary Shore.
Sam hardy has been a busy young man, following the success of short Film ‘Groundless’ Sam has gone on to feature in the Aldi ‘Play Rugby’ TV Commercial, as well as print & online coverage!
Sam then went on to be cast by Hubbard Casting London to play ‘Michael’ in the Film ‘The Widows Last’ which is currently filming in Kerry. Very exciting for this young man!!
Megan O’Kelly & Aifric O’Donnell both feature in Miss Mogul which will launch on Friday 30th September at 4.30 on RTE , Megan was invited to do an interview on Swipe TV to talk about the show, meanwhile Aifric went on to feature as the Grandaughter in the new series of Vodafone Piggy Sue TV Commercials!
Children of the Revolution which I had the pleasure to cast has been nominated for an IFTA, all the children in the documentary are from Take2.
Charlie Geelon has been cast in a new Kerrygold Butter TV Commercial, this was Charlie’s first ever audition!

Congrats to our young actor & Take2 student Sam Hardy who starred as ‘Simon’ in ‘Groundless’ short film which won Best First Short Film at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh. Actress Aoibheann McGinnity (Love Hate) played his mum, congrats to all involved.

Take2 Performing Arts School once again excelled in a variety of competitions over the weekend, sweeping the boards & taking home numerous Cups, Trophies, Plaques & Medals! The Speech & Drama Teachers of Ireland Festival had record entries this year with 4000 entries from students all over Ireland participating… we are most fortunate to be located so close to the venue considering students travelled for Donegal!
The Festival kicked off on Friday Evening with Improvisation for 12s & under.
